Clearomizer
This part of your vape is one of the biggest sections and the name of this component comes from a combination of the words ‘clear’ and ‘atomizer’. Your clearomizer is actually made up of different parts that will sometimes be purchased separately, however it is easier to just purchase one of the best clearomizers instead.
A clearomizer is made up of;
- Tank - this is the part where the e-liquid is kept
- Mouthpiece - this is the part that goes into your mouth
- Coil - this is the part that heats the e-liquid
- Wick - this part absorbs the e-liquid from the tank to be heated by the coil
In general, clearomizers should be replaced after every 10 refills to ensure all parts are still working properly. You may also find that you want to get a range of the best clearomizers so you don’t have to continuously clean them to use different flavoured e-liquids.
Mod
This component is also commonly referred to as just a battery, but it is essentially the whole bottom part of your vape. It is always worth getting a good e-cig mod as it really can improve your vaping experience. It is also likely that a good e-cig mod will provide you with a better battery life meaning you won’t need to recharge your vape as frequently.
Mouthpiece
This is definitely the most self-explanatory component. As mentioned above and as the name suggests, the mouthpiece is the part of the vape that goes in your mouth. These are often interchangeable, so you may find that you want to replace this every now and then.
As you may expect, mouthpieces come in different shapes and sizes and depending on the type of vape that you have, you will need a specific type of mouthpiece. So, when replacing this, make sure you’re purchasing the right mouthpiece for your vape/clearomizer.
Coil
This is a component that you may find needs replacing the most, usually somewhere between every few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how frequently you vape. We have written previously about the signs your vape coil needs replacing.
As mentioned above, the coil is the part of your vape that will turn the e-liquid into vapour, so without it, your vape simply won’t work. Essentially, the coil is made from a piece of resistance wire and when looking for replacements, there are a variety of styles to choose from, ranging from disposable coil heads to the do-it-yourself coil builds.
